Ken's musical journey began in the mid-1960s while listening to pop radio. By the early 1970s, he became aware of a groundbreaking NY FM Radio Station WNEW 102.7, where they played everything new from Allman Brothers Band to Frank Zappa. Through his exploration, Ken was exposed to every form of music available, but he kept coming back to Blues oriented music as his favorite. Some of Ken's favorites include The British Invasion and John Mayall to Johnny Winter and Hot Tuna.
When he found a song he liked he would research who wrote it. In many cases, those songs were written by the Blues masters, which led him to explore the original Blues Men and Women who influenced his playing style.
Although WNEW 102.7 is long gone, Ken continues to explore Blues, Rock, and Folk music both old and new through internet and Blues publications.
